Chinese Bridge Summer Camp for American High School Students
During July, our CI led six High School students to attend the Chinese Bridge Summer Camp
in China. Every year, this Hanban organized camp is much anticipated and very popular among local
students and parents. This year, our group went to Heilongojiang Province and Beijing to be immersed in
Chinese language and culture. While in Heilongjiang, known for its unique folk culture and folk arts, our
students learned about paper-cutting, shadow play, fish skin painting and other characteristics of this
province's folk arts. Students also got to tour famous local attractions such as the Central Street, Saint
Sophia Orthodox Cathedral, Harbin Confucian Temple, Sun Island, and Polar Museum, etc. At the end of
the camp, all camp attendees flew back to Beijing to demonstrate what they had learned through various
forms of cultural performances.
今 年 七 月 , 孔 子 学 院 带 领 六 名 高 中 生 参 加 了 “ 汉 语 桥 ” 夏 令 营 。 这 一 由 汉 办 组 织 的 活 动 每 年 都 深 受 当 地 学
生 和 家 长 的 欢 迎 , 吸 引 了 大 量 学 生 参 加 。 今 年 , 他 们 在 黑 龙 江 和 北 京 感 受 中 国 语 言 和 文 化 。 黑 龙 江 因 丰 富 多 彩 的
民 间 艺 术 而 闻 名 , 同 学 们 也 亲 自 体 验 了 黑 龙 江 省 几 样 最 有 特 色 的 民 间 艺 术 — 剪 纸 、 鱼 皮 画 、 皮 影 戏 等 。 此 次 夏 令
营 也 通 过 介 绍 黑 龙 江 的 民 俗 文 化 , 加 深 了 营 员 对 东 北 黑 龙 江 风 土 民 情 的 了 解 与 认 知 。 同 学 们 在 课 余 时 间 参 观 了 当
地 的 著 名 景 点 , 譬 如 中 央 大 街 、 索 菲 亚 教 堂 、 哈 尔 滨 文 庙 、 大 洋 岛 风 景 区 、 极 地 馆 等 。 夏 令 营 结 束 时 , 所 有 的 营
员 齐 聚 北 京 , 通 过 丰 富 的 表 演 , 展 示 他 们 的 学 习 成 果 。
