Business Chinese for Skema Business School
A for-credit Introductory Chinese class,
with a Chinese business focus, was developed
for students at the Skema French Business
School from August 24th to November 16th,
2015. Skema has a campus here on NC State’s
campus. The instructor was Dr. Wei Yan from
Nanjing Normal University. Her course was
so popular with the students that two weeks
into the semester Skema started to arrange
more Chinese courses for next semester, as we
had 19 students sign up for the class. We have
partnered with Skema before to offer Chinese
language workshops and Chinese Business
for-credit classes, but this was the first
intensive Chinese language for-credit course.
This partnership continues to grow as over 600
Skema students are on NC State campus and
helps to develop our international community
outreach.
2015 年 8 月 24 日 至 11 月 16 日 , 北 卡 州
大 孔 子 学 院 为 Skema 商 学 院 的 学 生 提 供 一
门 语 言 学 分 课 程 - 初 级 汉 语 。Skema 商 学 院
就 在 北 卡 州 大 的 校 园 内 。 本 课 程 主 讲 人 是
来 自 南 京 师 范 大 学 的 魏 燕 博 士 。 课 程 深 受
学 生 欢 迎 , 一 开 学 就 有 十 九 名 学 生 选 修 ,
开 学 两 周 后 商 学 院 提 出 增 进 合 作 的 要 求 ,
下 学 期 将 开 设 更 多 的 汉 语 课 。
北 卡 州 大 孔 子 学 院 和 Skema 商 学 院
有 着 良 好 的 合 作 基 础 , 之 前 孔 院 已 经 给 商
学 院 的 学 生 开 设 汉 语 研 讨 会 和 商 务 汉 语 学
分 课 , 但 是 本 课 程 是 北 卡 州 大 孔 子 学 院 首
次 为 商 学 院 开 设 的 汉 语 语 言 学 分 课 。 双 方
合 作 进 一 步 发 展 , 迄 今 为 止 已 有 超 过 六 百
名 商 学 院 的 学 生 在 北 卡 州 大 学 习 , 这 为 孔
子 学 院 在 当 地 社 区 推 广 汉 语 国 际 项 目 带 来
了 便 利 。
Business Chinese for Lenovo
We developed a Chinese Business
class specially for Lenovo employees. In
2015, we offered this new course for the first
time from September 14th to December 2nd;
sixteen Lenovo employees registered for this
course. The course was taught by Dr. Wei Yan
from Nanjing Normal University. This was
a customized course, designed to meet the
needs of the employees, and taught at their
place of work to so that employees could enjoy
the ease of learning Chinese language during
their lunchtime. Since Lenovo works closely
with China, and has a headquarters in Beijing,
the employees showed great interest in
learning Chinese. This was the first time for our
CI to have this partnership with Lenovo and we
look forward to developing more customized
business classes. This program was welcomed
by employees with requests to continue more
classes. This class has paved a path for our CI to
have further cooperation with local businesses
in the Research Triangle Park area.

州 大 孔 子 学 院 为 联 想 集 团 十 六 名 高 级 员 工
提 供 商 务 汉 语 定 制 课 程 。 课 程 由 来 自 南 京
师 范 大 学 的 魏 燕 博 士 主 讲 , 课 堂 设 在 联 想
集 团 总 部 , 方 便 员 工 利 用 午 餐 时 间 学 习 汉
语 。 由 于 联 想 集 团 的 中 国 背 景 , 员 工 学 习
汉 语 的 积 极 性 很 高 。
本 课 程 是 北 卡 州 大 孔 子 学 院 与 联 想
集 团 的 首 次 合 作 项 目 , 项 目 开 展 顺 利 , 成
效 显 著 , 为 今 后 孔 子 学 院 与 当 地 知 名 企 业
的 合 作 打 下 了 坚 固 的 基 础 。
