For outstanding acting achievements and charisma he
won the “Dobričin prsten” for lifetime achievement. Overcome
by a serious illness, he died in Belgrade, 1985.
In Zaječar, the street where he was born is named after
him, just like the National Theatre in that city. In 1992 the
“Zoran Radmilović” foundation was established in order to
foster the legacy of this acting scene master.
Since 1993, the Foundation has been, together with
“Večenje Novosti”,, awarding bravura acting at “Sterija Theatre.”
In the fall of the same year, they organized the acting
festival “Days of Zoran Radmilović” bringing to Zaječar audiences,
many great performances, sometimes even before
the capital city sees them. In July 2010, as one of its main
objectives, the Foundation formulated and encouraged development
of the domestic drama, calling up competition for
the best contemporary dramatic text in Serbian language.
