Guardians of the Seal
opponent at one go.
Even though the flaming tail was flying speedily towards him, Gabriel heard
Imani's prayer. As an archangel, he had to place a limit on his powers while on
earth on assignment. Only the freewill prayer of a human being or express
orders from God Himself could permit him to remove the limit. He clasped his
hands together and exclaimed, “Release!”
Immediately, he was wrapped in the true light of Heaven. He grew to nearly
four times the human size he had been, his armour gleaming like a collection of
suns. He had in his hand a sword of white light and crackling lightning ran
along its shaft. His six wings were flaming white as was his hair. The demon's
tail hit him but he felt nothing. He spoke to the demon: “You wanted to know my
name somewhat desperately. I am Gabriel, who stands before the very throne
of God, archangel of the cherubim and guardian angel of Israel. Now, this is
the end, Beelzebub, lord of the flies!”
The demon let out a frightened shriek and tried to retreat into the mist.
sword upwards in the demon's direction. A beam of white light went out of the
sword and hit the demon. Instantly, the demon was gone, disintegrated by the
light.
could see his comrades one more time, he would be able to say how sorry he
really was. As he kept thinking about this, another thought entered his
consciousness. There was something about it he couldn't quite wrap his mind
around, but it was a true thought and so he waved the uneasiness aside. His
fallen comrades were guardians and would have gone straight to heaven after
their death. Were they not the ones that said death was not the end? He could
still see them again. He had all the seals. He closed his eyes and began the
chant:
