ucifer burst out at the other end of the portal with his snarling<br />
Lhorde behind him. He looked around. The scenery of the place<br />
was familiar. “Eden of the East,” he remarked, “so this is where<br />
you have been hidden all along.”<br />
Knowing the resourcefulness of the race of men, Lucifer had always<br />
wondered why they never discovered Eden of the East in all their quests for the<br />
Tree of Life on earth. They had called it all sorts of names – the Elixir of Life, the<br />
Holy Grail, the Fountain of Youth and many others. But they had never found it.<br />
Now he knew why. He became overwhelmed with nostalgia. The place<br />
brought back memories.<br />
A voice he was familiar with but had not heard in ages called out to him.<br />
“Welcome, Lucifer.”<br />
He lifted his eyes and saw an archangel standing alone a short way off. His<br />
six wings and blazing armour signified that he was the top of the seraph order<br />
that Lucifer himself had once belonged to.<br />
“We meet again, Michael, Captain of the Heavenly Hosts,” Lucifer said with<br />
a hint of teasing. “It's indeed been a while. I expected a larger welcome party.<br />
Have all your hosts deserted you already at the sound of my approach that you<br />
come out here all alone? And they said I was the arrogant one.”<br />
“Alone?” Michael responded, waving his hands. “Has your ambition<br />
blinded you that much?” Then, as if out of nowhere, the Heavenly host<br />
