Guardians of the Seal
“That's the God perspective beginning to creep up on you,” Lucifer
responded.
“Everything looks different,” she stated again as she tried to come to
terms with that reality.
“You are beginning to see things the way they really are,” Lucifer
reiterated. “Now, don't enjoy this alone. Adam too should partake of this
divine nature.”
“Ah, yes, Adam my darling.” Eve rushed to where Adam was. He wasn't
Lucifer went in for the kill. “The next thing now is to enter Heaven,” he
said to Adam. “Why don't you proceed to meet God at the portal so he
can see your transformation into Godhood? He would be glad to see His
creation evolving right before His eyes, you know?”
Clad in their leaves, Adam and Eve led Lucifer to the portal. It was a
stone at the point where the main River of Eden split into four. Lucifer
couldn't believe that the answer to his quest had been in plain sight for so
long. He glided into the undergrowth and watched. Soon, the portal
would open and with it, his window of opportunity. He double-checked
