Georg Bydlinski,
born 1956 in Graz, studied
English Studies and
Religious Education. He
works as a freelance
author and is specialized
in poetry. He has, among
other awards, received
the Österreichischer
Staatspreis für Kinderlyrik. His picture books are marked
by a poetic, yet playful quality. He addresses issues and
subjects that are especially thought-provoking for children
Beate Fahrnländer was born
in Leipzig in 1965, gaining her first
experience with painting and graphics
early on, at the local Hochschule
für Grafik und Buchkunst. She studied
graphic design in Berlin and
Paris, focusing on illustration. After
spending four years in the US, she
now lives in together with her family
in Lörrach.
