eliever or a disbeliever, with or without a conscience, live<br />

happily and comfortably in this world. This is similar to the fact<br />

that whoever uses the medicine known to be good for his illness<br />

will recover. We see that irreligious people and nations are<br />

successful in many business fields. They are successful because<br />

they work compatibly with the Qur’ân al-kerîm. However, it is<br />

necessary to believe in the Qur’ân al-kerîm and to follow it with<br />

the intention of attaining the happiness of the next world, too.]<br />

The 179th âyat of the Sûrat-ul-Baqara in Qur’ân al-kerîm, which<br />

purports: “O those who have reason; only think! You will see that<br />

My command, (Kill the murderer), bears life, not death!”<br />

corroborates our argument.<br />

A Persian couplet translated into English:<br />

If the judge didn’t have a cudgel hidden behind him,<br />

The drunk, base-born would vomit into the Ka’ba.<br />

We will also mention the fact that Allâhu ta’âlâ is the absolute<br />

owner of everything, of all of us. All people are His creatures,<br />

slaves. It is always reasonable and useful for Him to use every<br />

command He gives His slaves and everything as He wishes. There<br />

cannot be cruelty or malice in this. People of lower rank or slaves<br />

cannot ask their superiors, their masters the reasons for their<br />

commands and attitudes.<br />

If He were to put all people into Hell and torment them<br />

eternally, who would have the right to object? For, He would be<br />

using His property which He Himself had created and raised.<br />

How could it be said to be cruelty while there is no transgression<br />

to someone else’s property, because there is no someone else?<br />

However, the possessions which people use and which they boast<br />

about belong in actual fact not to themselves but to Him. Indeed,<br />

it is injustice for us to lay hands on them, to interfere with them.<br />

For the order of this world and for some other uses, Allâhu ta’âlâ<br />

has assigned them to our possession, yet in fact they are all His.<br />

Then what is proper for us to do is to use them as much as their<br />

real owner allows us to.<br />

All the facts, all the commandments which Prophets<br />

‘’alaihimussalawâtu wa-t-teslîmât’ conveyed to us from Allâhu<br />

ta’âlâ are true. For unbelievers and for the disobedient ones of<br />

those who die with imân there will be torment in the grave.<br />

Mukhbir-i Sâdiq (he who always told the truth) ‘’alaihi wa ’alâ<br />

âlihissalâtu wassalâm’ conveyed this information. When unbelievers<br />

and Believers [or only Believers] are interred, two angels named<br />
