TRIBE WARS IS A HIGHLY INTERACTIVE AND COMPETITIVE FOUR-DAY CHALLENGE that begins Sunday night of JHigh Beach Retreat and ends Thursday night with a trophy presentation for the winning tribe. All six campuses will be co-mingled into six different “tribes.” Each tribe will be led by members of our Second Students staff. These tribes will battle it out over the week as they compete to earn points to see who comes out on top. During Tribe Time, students will be challenged with a word or theme of the day. This word or theme will be biblically based and very applicable to the rest of the day. Your job is to keep your condo excited and engaged each day during Tribe Wars, especially each day on the “battlefield” and during the “gauntlet.” It’s simple - your condo will follow your lead, so if you’re not excited and all in, don’t expect them to be. Each condo leader will be placed in a Tribe with your entire condo. However, this will not happen until late in the week before Junior High Beach Retreat. Due to late sign-ups, our official condo assignments must stay flexible as long as possible. So, on Saturday, June 16, you will receive a text message from the Condo Leader Coordinator in your assigned tribe. They will inform you of the tribe you’ve been assigned and communicate any other relevant details that you will need to know. The most practical and effective thing you can do to be prepared for Tribe Wars is simply bring whatever outrageous clothing, costumes, and flair you have that matches the color of your assigned Tribe. Your involvement, excitement, and leadership with Tribe Wars is an absolute must for it to be successful. Please come ready to lead by example. 32
