• If they don’t know what to say, simply tell them to ask
God to come into their life and forgive them of their
sins and tell Him they want to live for Him.
• More on salvation and praying to receive Christ can
be found on page 68.
Conclusion
• If the student prays to receive Christ, let them know
how excited you are and that this is the best decision
of their life! Encourage them to share their life change
with the other members of your condo. Walk your
student through the next steps on page 69.
• Let your students know you are thankful for them
spending time with you and let them know you are
available to talk with them any time.
• IMPORTANT NOTE – As you talk, your student might
begin to share information about their life that indicates
that they are struggling with life-threatening or selfharm
situations (suicidal thoughts/drug usage/ binge
drinking/cutting etc.). They might also share instances
of physical or sexual abuse or violence. Do not tell a
student that you will keep this information private – or
“just between the two of you.” These kinds of situations
require you to report it to your Headquarters so we can
assist them and give appropriate help and direction.
Once the Interview is completed, you should go
immediately to your Campus HQ and let them know
about this. After that, your HQ Team is responsible
legally for that information, and they will take
appropriate action. Under no circumstances should you
share that information with any other adult or student
on the trip. Privacy and confidentiality are incredibly
important here.
