HOW CAN I HAVE SELF-CONTROL?<br />

• Allow the Holy Spirit to produce it in you. It can only<br />

truly come from Him. Galatians 5:22-23<br />

• Be disciplined and train your body physically by<br />

keeping your eyes on the Lord. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27<br />

• Surrender and train your mind by letting Jesus<br />

transform it. Romans 12:1-2<br />

• Lay down your desires and find your delight and joy in<br />

the right things. Psalm 37:4<br />

HOW FAR IS TOO FAR?<br />

• Making a decision to flee sexual sin happens before<br />

you find yourself in a tempting situation.<br />

1 Corinthians 6:18<br />

• The further you entertain the chance of sinning, the<br />

smaller your way of escape is; nevertheless God<br />

always provides a way out. 1 Corinthians 10:13<br />

• Establish boundaries that will keep you from giving<br />

into temptation. 1 Corinthians 6:13b<br />

• Remember that your body is a temple of God.<br />

SHOULD CHRISTIANS WORRY ABOUT THEIR<br />

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE?<br />

• Christians should take care of themselves physically but<br />

not prioritize it over growing spiritually. 1 Timothy 4:8<br />

• Our bodies are made perfectly by God so we should<br />

take care of them. Psalm 139:13-14<br />

• Our physical beauty should not be used to exalt<br />

ourselves. 1 Timothy 2:9-10<br />

• We should care most about what God cares about,<br />

and He cares most about our heart. 1 Samuel 16:7<br />

CAN I BE FRIENDS WITH NON-CHRISTIANS?<br />

• Jesus hung out with non-believers ... but He was also<br />

perfect and incorruptible. Matthew 9:10-13<br />

• Be a representative of Christ wherever you go.<br />

• Make sure you are surrounding yourself with people<br />

who are helping you grow in your faith. Proverbs 27:17<br />

• Be careful as you choose your friends.<br />

WHY SHOULD I TALK ABOUT MY FAITH IN SCHOOL?<br />

• It’s our calling as believers in Jesus. Matthew 28:18-20<br />

WHAT IS THE RIGHT WAY TO PRAY?<br />

• The Lord’s Prayer sets an example for us.<br />

• Pray with confidence that God hears our prayers.<br />

• Pray without being anxious and with a thankful heart.<br />

Philippians 4:6-7<br />

• Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17<br />

HOW CAN I LOVE SOMEONE IF I DON’T LIKE THEM?<br />

• It is a command from God! John 13:34-35<br />

• Putting others above yourself will change your attitude<br />

towards them. Romans 12:10<br />

• In order to change the way you feel about someone,<br />

choose to serve them! Galatians 5:13<br />
