• Self-mutilation was associated with someone who was<br />
possessed by demons. Mark 5:2-5<br />
• Our bodies are the temple of God’s Holy Spirit and<br />
should be treated with the highest of importance.<br />

MY PARENTS ARE STRUGGLING IN THEIR MARRIAGE.<br />
WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP?<br />
• Recognize that your parents aren’t perfect. Romans 3:23<br />
• God commands us to honor both of our parents, so<br />
don’t pick sides. Deuteronomy 5:16<br />
• Use your words wisely. Colossians 4:6<br />
• Love them through your actions. 1 John 4:7-8<br />
IS IT “SINFUL” TO MAKE BAD GRADES IN SCHOOL?<br />
• A grade is neither morally right nor morally wrong.<br />
Instead, examine the character and motive behind the<br />
grade. Colossians 3:23<br />
• A failing grade can be a sin as much as a 4.0 GPA<br />
can be a sin. Grades slide on a scale between pride/<br />
idolatry and apathy/laziness. Galatians 6:3;<br />

• Ultimately, we follow the lead of Jesus. Matthew 16:24<br />
• We are to do our work “as unto the Lord.”<br />

WHY DO I HAVE TO GO TO CHURCH REGULARLY?<br />
• To use the gifts God has given us and serve the body<br />

• For fellowship with other believers and to comfort/<br />

• To provide support and accountability to one another.<br />

• To grow in our relationship with God and<br />

WHAT IS WRONG WITH SMOKING POT, IF DONE IN<br />
MODERATION?<br />
• Christians are called to be above reproach. Smoking<br />
pot does not enhance your Christian witness or glorify<br />
God. Philippians 2:15-16<br />
• You may be able to do it in moderation, but your<br />
friends may not. Your example in a questionable<br />
behavior could lead to someone else forming an<br />
addiction. Romans 14:19-21<br />
• The Bible calls us to be sober-minded. 1 Peter 1:13<br />
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT RACISM?<br />
• Don’t judge by appearances. John 7:24<br />
• God holds no distinction between ethnicities.<br />
Romans 10:12<br />
• Causing divisions between people and hating your<br />
brother are ungodly attitudes and actions. 1 John 2:9-10<br />
• We are to love others as ourselves. Mark 12:30-31<br />
