WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HONOR MY PARENTS?

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT DATING?
• Put God first in your life and relationships.

WHY ISN’T GOD ANSWERING MY PRAYERS?
• God’s plan (will) is perfect. Psalm 18:30

• Our bodies are the temple of God’s Holy Spirit and
should be treated with the highest of importance.

WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP?
• Recognize that your parents aren’t perfect. Romans 3:23
• God commands us to honor both of our parents, so
don’t pick sides. Deuteronomy 5:16
• Use your words wisely. Colossians 4:6
• Love them through your actions. 1 John 4:7-8
IS IT “SINFUL” TO MAKE BAD GRADES IN SCHOOL?
• A grade is neither morally right nor morally wrong.
Instead, examine the character and motive behind the
grade. Colossians 3:23
• A failing grade can be a sin as much as a 4.0 GPA
can be a sin. Grades slide on a scale between pride/
idolatry and apathy/laziness. Galatians 6:3;
Proverbs 12:24
• Ultimately, we follow the lead of Jesus. Matthew 16:24
• We are to do our work “as unto the Lord.”

WHY DO I HAVE TO GO TO CHURCH REGULARLY?
• To use the gifts God has given us and serve the body
of Christ. 1 Peter 4:10
• For fellowship with other believers and to comfort/
encourage one another. Hebrews 10:25
• To provide support and accountability to one another.

• To grow in our relationship with God and
understanding of His Word. Colossians 2:6-7
WHAT IS WRONG WITH SMOKING POT, IF DONE IN
MODERATION?
• Christians are called to be above reproach. Smoking
pot does not enhance your Christian witness or glorify
God. Philippians 2:15-16
• You may be able to do it in moderation, but your
friends may not. Your example in a questionable
behavior could lead to someone else forming an
addiction. Romans 14:19-21
• The Bible calls us to be sober-minded. 1 Peter 1:13

• Don’t judge by appearances. John 7:24
• God holds no distinction between ethnicities.

• Causing divisions between people and hating your
