One horrible image, with its hideous heads and<br />

scaly caudal extremity, reminded me <strong>of</strong> the<br />

tremendous line <strong>of</strong> Milton, who, in speaking <strong>of</strong> the<br />

same evil dragon, describes him as<br />

‘Swingeing the scaly horrors <strong>of</strong> his folded tail.’<br />
