The Chilliwack Youth Health Centre has medical doctors, psychologists, and counsellors
available to provide services to youth. Referalls can be made to a psychiatrist as well.
Counselling services are available to address a variety of concerns including: anxiety, fears, and
stress; depression and sadness; relationships with family and friends; schooling; substance use;
grief and loss; suicidal thoughts; eating; sleep; sexuality; unhelpful behavioural patterns; and
unusual thoughts, for example.

Upper Fraser Valley Critical Incident Stress Management
(UFVCISM) Team

The UFVCISM team is a confidential service for firefighters and dispatchers who have
experienced a critical incident at work. It is a volunteer driven program that is available by
request 24 hrs/day and gives firefighters and dispatchers an opportunity to debrief after a
stressful incident or build up of stress. When required, the UFVCISM team will refer to
qualified mental health professionals.
