Depending on the approved Individual Program Plan based on the needs of the child, there is potential for a Speech-Language Pathologist, Psychologist, Behavioural Consultant, Occupational Therapist, and/or a Family Coach to work with the child. Furthermore, sessions may include individual and/or group based. Government funded through FSCD (Alberta's Family Supports for Children with Disabilities). If a child does not have a formal diagnosis, private clinical services and community group programs are offered but parents/guardians are responsible for the fee as they are not funded by the government. New Discovery Psychological Services ADHD Treatment Centre About: Fees: Referral: Contact: Practicum: New Discovery Psychological Services offer services for all ages. ADHD assessments, Comprehensive Math assessments, Educational assessments, and Psychological assessments are offered by a Registered Psychologist. Based on diagnosis, medication and treatment plans are discussed. Possible treatment plans may include Micronutrient Formulation, Group Therapy, or CogMed. Particularly, this organization specializes in the Cogmed Program which aims to improve working memory capacity through training sessions. Individual Counselling for ADHD as well as Couple Counselling for partners of individuals with ADHD are also offered at this clinic. Health benefits may cover all or part of the cost.
