ADAPT is dedicated to empowering persons with alcohol, drug or gambling concerns, and their<br />

families, to manage these concerns and lead more fulfilling lives through the provision of<br />

comprehensive assessment and treatment services corresponding to need. Offering programs to<br />

assist with drinking, drug use, problem gambling, behavioural addictions, concurrent disorders<br />

(a combination of addiction and mental health concerns) and youth community justice issues.<br />

Services are available to clients of any age, as well as, family members affected by someone<br />

else’s addictions issues.<br />

Hope Place Centres provides a women's live-in treatment centre (33 days), a men's live in<br />

treatment centre (42-84 days) and a community based treatment centre. The team works with<br />

other specialists in psychiatry, primary care and occupational therapy, as well as practitioners<br />

from alternative healing arts, such as yoga instructors, art therapists, acupuncturists and<br />

spiritual guides.<br />

Programs are covered by the Ministry of Health as well as workplace benefits and personal<br />

funds. Exact amounts can be discussed with the Admissions Coordinator<br />

PAD develops and provides innovative and relevant resources and services, based on current<br />

research and “better/best practices” aimed at parents, professionals (teachers, health promoters,<br />

practitioners) and youth. PAD has a growing bank of programs, workshops, packages and<br />

brochures for different audiences. They are an Ontario-wide organization whose programs and<br />

resources are used in communities across Canada.<br />
