The Alzheimers Society of BC is a non-profit organization that provides tools and resources for
people living with Dementia and Alzheimers, as well as resources for family members,
caregivers and physicians. Some of these resources for physcicans include a "First Link Referral
Form," when filled out the client will get a call directly from the Alzheimers society and directly
link them with resources that include support groups within their community, Minds in Motion
Fitness groups for people with dementia, and other educational resources on day to day living,
dealing with grief, and tele-workshops.

The CARD Clinic is not only a research and teaching clinic at the Universtiy of British Columbia,
but also a place that assess and diagnonsis Alzheiemrs and related disorders, and provides
support for the indiviudal and the family of the diagnosed. The team includes social work,
counselling, geriatrics and brain specialists including neurology, neuropsychology and
neuropatholgy. Services include patient education around how to live with the diagnosis,
counselling, and support services like the Continuing Care program.

Loving Home Care Services

Loving Home Care Services provides a numerous amount of Certified Health Care-Aides aids to
your home, including special services for Alzheimers and Dementia home care. The in home
services include helping with daily tasks such as bathing and dressing, preparing meals,
managing the home, running errands, etc. The Care-Aides also offer companionship like
reading, going for walks, and playing games and nurse vistation as well for medical
administration. Prescription delivery can also be arranged. The website provides other
provincial Alzhiermers resources for clients and families.
$30/hour 3 hours minimum booking.
