Other furnishings & amenities
All guest room entrances/doors must be in as-new condition,
free of clutter and hanging-bags, and must have:
• Brand-approved electronic lock;
• Tamper-proof, 180-degree one-way viewer;
• ‘Secur-A-Latch’, or similar, for all entrances and
connecting doors;
• Display a floor plan and indicate evacuation route and
safety instructions as per international fire safety standards;
• ‘Service Room/Privacy’ hangers, as per art’otel branding
catalogue
• Lighting master switch;
• ‘Privacy’ door hanger card as per art’otel branding
catalogue (if there is no electronic display).
• ‘Animal Companion in Room’ notification door hanger sign
as per art’otel branding catalogue to be used and
provided, where applicable.
• All guest rooms must provide an enclosed and clothes
hanging space that includes the following Brand-approved
amenities:
• Brand-approved iron, padded and covered ironing board
in as-new condition must be provided in all guest rooms.
• The iron must have the following features; Teflon bottom -
Auto shut off - Dry Steam;
• Laundry/dry cleaning bag, as per branding catalogue
• 2 laundry lists (pricing list may not distinguish between
genders, rather pricing must be based on type of garment)
as per art’otel branding catalogue;
• Umbrella, as per art’otel branding catalogue
• Brand standard portable suitcase rack (in addition to inroom
fixed luggage bench, if provided)
• In-room electronic laptop safe
• Hairdryer (of at least 1450-watt power/multi-speed/multivoltage)
in a holding bag;
• 1 personal weighing scale for all guest rooms categories;
• 2 pairs of branded, ‘flip flops’/slippers guest rooms
categories;
• 1 Branded Shopping bag, as per art’otel branding
catalogue.
• Eight uniform quality wooden trouser hangers;
• Eight uniform quality wooden skirt hangers;
• 2 padded hangers
• All guest rooms must provide a writing desk or workspace
with suitable seating per guest room area. The
desk/workspace top will be clutter free and only display the
following Brand-approved items in clean and as-new
condition:
• Desk light;
• Message pad with approved pen, as per art’otel branding
catalogue
• Fire-retardant wastebasket with recycling divider;
• Cordless desk speakerphone with, mute, hold and volume
control functions, printed dialling instructions on template
and 5 calling buttons and 1 default message retrieval
button as specified in the Technology section of this
Manual;
• Telephone charges directory (where required);
• Room service Menu (can also be placed on coffee/side
table);
• ‘Breakfast Order’ door hanger card as per art’otel
Branding Catalogue;
• Brand approved no-smoking reminder.
