provider. The hotel must also use the Brand’s standardised
message-on-hold.
If the hotel wishes to use custom messages, it must develop
those messages with the Brand’s Branding department for
review and approval.
Messaging is in the local language(s) as well as in English.
Referral to ‘art’otels.com’ in this Brand Operating Standard
refers to all art’otel-branded websites and micro sites, including,
but not limited to, artotels.co.uk, artotels.nl, artotels.de etc.
The hotel may not register, own, maintain or use any domain
names and or social media accounts, World Wide Web or
other electronic communications sites (including ‘micro sites’)
(collectively, ‘Site(s)’), relating to the Network, country, any
product or service of the hotel or that includes the Marks.
The only domain names, Sites, or Site contractors that the hotel
may use are those assigned or otherwise approved in advance
in writing by the Brand’s E-commerce Department. The hotel
must also obtain the Brand’s prior written approval concerning
any third-party Site in which the hotel may be listed, and any
proposed links between such Site and any other Site(s) (‘Linked
Sites’) and any proposed modifications to it.
The hotel may not, without a legal licence or other legal right,
post on its artotels.com pages any material in which any third
party has any direct or indirect ownership interest (including
video clips, photographs, sound bites, copyrighted text,
trademarks or service marks, or any other text or image in
which any third party may claim intellectual property ownership
interests). The hotel must obtain documented global usage
licences for all images used on the websites and any models
who appear in any images must have assigned unrestricted
global usage rights to the Brand.
The hotel must also incorporate on its artotels.com page any
other information the Brand requires in the manner it deems
necessary to protect the Marks.
Given the changing nature of this technology, the Brand has
the right to withhold its approval, withdraw any prior approval
and modify its requirements with regard to the hotel’s ability to
own and maintain a standalone site.
Domain names: The Brand currently assigns each hotel a
domain address within the artotel.com website that is to be
used as the only Internet address on the World Wide Web for
the hotel. However, the hotel may use other ‘friendly’ PPHE
Hotel Group or Radisson Hotel Group URL’s as long as they
meet all other Brand requirements and are approved by the
Brand. Domain names for all addresses related to the hotel or
that redirect to the hotel Internet address are registered and
owned by the Brand, or a subsidiary or affiliate. If the hotel is
using an art’otel domain name that it has registered, it must
transfer ownership immediately to the Brand.
