Brand trademarks must not be used in the plural or possessive<br />

forms. Neither must the brand trademark be used in<br />

conjunction with a service provided at the hotel such as; art’otel<br />

Bar/Spa or The art’otel Bar/Spa, to name a few.<br />

Any use of the Marks on the World Wide Web, the Internet or<br />

any other computer network/electronic distribution, must<br />

conform to the Brand’s requirements, including the identity and<br />

graphics standards for all Group hotels.<br />

Websites containing any of the Marks and any linked Sites<br />

must advertise, promote and reflect on the hotel and the Group<br />

in a professional and upscale manner. The hotel acknowledges<br />

and agrees that the Brand and PPHE’s right to approve all<br />

materials is necessitated by the fact that those materials must<br />

include and be linked with the Marks.<br />

For the purposes of this document, the ‘Marks’ mean the brand<br />

service marks and all other service marks, copyrights,<br />

trademarks, logos, insignia, symbols, designs, slogans,<br />

distinguishing characteristics, trade names, domain names and<br />

all other marks or characteristics associated or used with or in<br />

connection with the Group and similar intellectual property<br />

rights that the art’otel designates from time to time to be used in<br />

the Group.<br />

Photography, virtual tours & videos<br />

The hotel must submit images, virtual tours and videos to the<br />

Brand Image Library (inclusive of all appropriate global usage<br />

licences and model release forms) for upload to the Content<br />

Management System (CMS).<br />

Virtual tours: The Brand requires that each hotel has a virtual<br />

tour produced by its nominated vendor.<br />

Videos: The Brand requires that each hotel has a video<br />

produced by its nominated vendor.<br />

A selection of the footage will be used to add to and/or<br />

replace on the art’otel brand video<br />

Imagery submittal requirements:<br />

• The hotel must own the images or have full usage rights<br />

before submitting images to the Brand Image Library. Proof<br />

of ownership and/or usage rights is required prior to<br />

posting on the hotel web pages or in any external use. This<br />

must include a model release form where people appear<br />

and are recognisable in the images.<br />

• Images submitted to the Brand Image Library;<br />

• The image for uploading must be at least 300 dpi or<br />

higher for digital imagery<br />

• and must be 1771x1771 pixels to fit all reproduction<br />

variations and be TIFF (preferred), JPEG or BMP files.<br />

Maps must be Vector, .eps or .ai files.<br />

Digital photography is required. Slides, negatives and<br />

photographs are no longer permitted.<br />

Amateur photography is not permitted.<br />

All images must satisfy these Brand Operating Standards.<br />

Online image requirements: A professional photographer must<br />

provide hotel images and must be pre-approved by Brand<br />

Marketing. If the hotel does not have a local contact, please<br />

consult the list of Brand approved vendors in Brand Marketing.<br />

The minimum image requirements are as follows:<br />

• Homepage (one image for each):<br />

• Lobby: Or another signature feature of the hotel<br />

• Exterior: Front of the hotel, including logo/signage or<br />

signature shot<br />

Accommodations: The hotel must have at least 2 images per<br />

room type sold on art’otel.com and 3 images if they are suites,<br />

or an enhanced room type description. Room types include, but<br />

are not limited to:<br />

• Art room and Art room XL;<br />

• guest rooms plus bathroom;<br />

• Art suites (if the hotel offers this type);<br />

• Living room;<br />

• Bedroom;<br />

• Bathroom.<br />

Hotel dining: The hotel must have at least 2 images per on-site<br />

restaurant, lounge and bar.<br />

Other required on-site images – 2 images for each of the<br />

following areas:<br />

• On-site fitness facility<br />

• On-site pool<br />

Other required on-site images one image for each of the<br />

following:<br />

• Meeting rooms—largest and smallest meeting room<br />

Filming & photo shoots<br />

If the hotel is contacted by a third-p<strong>arty</strong> for the use of it location<br />

for either, but not limited to, filming or photo shoot activities in<br />

relation to; interviews, film productions, press junkets, TV<br />

series/documentaries, photography, commercial / campaigns,<br />

press conferences event photography or celebrity moments, to<br />

name a few, the Hotel must agree and comply with the<br />

established operating procedures and third parties must agree<br />

and complete all pertinent release and liability forms found on<br />

the company Intranet, you:niverse.<br />

At all times must the general manager and the Legal<br />

Department must be informed prior to any response to a<br />

request.<br />
