As the image browser is a ßoating IMAQ image window, you can embed it as<br />

a child into a parent VI, as discussed previously (Figure 4.21). Adding this code<br />

embeds the image browser into the parent VI’s front panel (Figure 4.22).<br />

One useful example of image browsers is to allow the user to select a thumbnail,<br />

and then display (and perhaps process) the full image on the front panel of<br />

a VI. This is achieved by embedding both the image browser and preview image<br />

into the parent VI, and using the selected browser thumbnail to dictate which<br />

image is loaded into the preview image (Figure 4.23). As not to continually load<br />

images into the preview image, even when the user has not selected a different<br />

image, IMAQ WindLastEvent is used to monitor if the user has clicked within<br />

the image browser (Figure 4.24)
