Philia Earth is an award-winning company that was incorporated on Earth Day in 2016 with a
strong vision to contribute positively to the development of our planet and focus on
sustainability, affordability, innovation, efficiency, and quality. We provide services in architecture,
interior design, urban planning, research, education, and technology.

As a startup, our growth has been fast and
steady. We became an incubator project
of the Hong Kong Design Incubation
Program, which is a prestigious program
with a selective screening process that
is being sponsored by the Hong Kong
government from 2018 to 2020. We
received the Stevie’s “International Business
Award” (silver) for “Startup of the
Year” in 2018 after a fierce competition
among 3,900 companies globally. We
have been listed as one of only eleven
Architectural Services Providers in the
Belt and Road portal of the Hong Kong
Trade and Development Council since
2018. This year, we received the “Hong
Kong Most Outstanding Leaders Award
2019” for being the Best Research-Based
Architectural and Interior Design Company
and an invitation to feature our
company’s best practice in the Global
Goals Yearbook 2019.
We strive to be a company that builds to
last by creating a strong philosophical
foundation with the right focus. Firstly,
we established the Philia Earth 3 developmental
pillars: We invest in our people,
we focus on the process as much as the
results, and we develop a sustainable
business model. Secondly, we created
Philia Earth 7 core values: respect, integrity,
ethics, excellence, family–work
balance, profitability, and charity.
We adopt a research-based design approach
to ensure that our designs go
beyond aesthetic forms and are also
functional, long-lasting, comfortable for
users, and socially and environmentally
friendly. Through serious research, we
are able to identify the pitfalls in design
that are commonly overlooked by others.
We also have published many scholarly
articles to support our design approach
in peer-reviewed journals and have been
invited by renowned local and international
universities as keynote speakers.
As we move from “sustaining” to
“thriving,” we embrace a new approach
that will integrate research + practice +
technology. We are confident that our
multi-disciplinary and experienced professional
team (comprised of architects,
interior designers, engineers, sustainability
consultants, educators, MBAs, and
IT experts, to name a few) can provide
excellent services and develop amazing
new projects.
Our company consciously embraces the
17 UN Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs), and these are the six goals that
we are currently focusing on.
Goal #4:
Quality education
Our company offers education consulting
on a large scale (nations and/or
cities). We are interested in – and have
the capacity to – assist governments
in developing countries to assess and
improve their education systems to
create an equitable and just society. Our
team consists of high-profile educators
with doctoral degrees in education from
various countries. We are also capable
of building quality physical school
facilities by combining expertise from
our architects and educators.
Goal #5:
Gender equality
We do not have any “glass ceiling,” as
we give equal opportunity to all professionals
to perform by giving them
a platform to shine and the support
to be successful. We are committed to
