Following great success at the 2019 Most Wanted Awards winning Best Salon
Team, Lloyds Hair has rebranded as The Collective by Lloyds and is celebrating
with a salon makeover. The look is inspired by Lisa Vanderpump’s bars,
restaurants and clubs in LA – which Lloyds owner Danielle Kennedy describes
as rustic glam. “We wanted to mix earthy limestone and wood with a generous
amount of reflective surfaces,” she explains. “Our salon is a mix of custom builds
and items sourced from architectural salvage yards to create points of interest,
and the decor always inspires conversations among our clients. Functionality
was hugely important, so I designed custom-built stations with hidden product,
gown and towel units.” The standout piece is a 15-foot long limestone bench,
while upcycled church pews repurposed as railings around the backwashes
offer another talking point. And the salon’s unique layout encourages visitors to
linger and enjoy a refreshment. “Our waiting area is styled like a cafe with a selfservice
tea and coffee bar,” adds Danielle.
