(a) In 2006 and 2005, although the Company does not own more than 50% of the equity shares of PT
Batamec, and consequently does not control more than half the voting power of these shares, it has
the power to govern the financial and operating policies of the subsidiary. As a result, PT Batamec
is controlled by the Company and is consolidated in these financial statements.
(b) During 2006, Sea Dolphin Finance Limited ceased operations and became dormant.
