The art gift book introduces 33 selected artists from 20 countries around the globe. Starting in Vol. 2 of the “Excellent Art” series, each book will also introduce one famous musical work that may contribute to the harmonious overall sound, alongside a topic related selection of haiku poetry. Internal Dynamics Visualized<br />
With eloquent colors and a style verging on expressionism, Valentina Anopova<br />
follows established artistic traditions and remains true to an oldfashioned style<br />
in her own authentic way. Shapes are playfully distorted into figures simplified<br />
through reduced bodily gestures. Melting into each other, they occasionally<br />
appear grotesque and caricatured, resembling woodcuts animated through the<br />
artist’s untethered use of vivid colors. Their clear contours painted onto partly<br />
monochrome backgrounds make them radiate liveliness and energy. Beside<br />
mythical elements, Anopova’s paintings also convey an emotional narrative.<br />

Mit expressionistisch anmutender Ausdrucksweise und stimmungsvollem<br />
Kolorit knüpft Valentina Anopova an visuelle Traditionen an und bleibt einem<br />
aus der Zeit gefallenen Stil treu. Formen werden zu spielerischen Figuren verzerrt,<br />
die durch reduzierte Mimik in ihrer Physiognomie stark vereinfacht werden.<br />
Ineinander verschmelzend wirken sie zuweilen grotesk und karikiert. Sie<br />
gleichen Holzschnitten, werden jedoch belebt durch den freien Umgang mit<br />
klaren, leuchtenden Farben. In scharfen Konturen auf zum Teil monochrome<br />
Hintergründe gemalt, versprühen die farbgewaltigen Figurengruppen Leben<br />
und Energie. Neben dem mythischen manifestiert sich auch ein emotionales<br />
Narrativ in den Bildern.<br />
