The art gift book introduces 33 selected artists from 20 countries around the globe. Starting in Vol. 2 of the “Excellent Art” series, each book will also introduce one famous musical work that may contribute to the harmonious overall sound, alongside a topic related selection of haiku poetry. Floral Vibrations<br />
Through the transformation of photographic spaces into three-dimensional<br />
entities, South Korean artist Mae Jeon literally adds a new dimension to the<br />
medium of photography. With her masterful compositional and technical skill,<br />
she employs sculptural flower shapes as the basic chords of her work, while repeating<br />
their color tones in the structure of their background. Her works may be<br />
classified as flower still lives, while their three-dimensional feel makes them<br />
look like the surreal creations of an ikebana artist. The compositional treatment<br />
of motifs, colors and other inherent qualities of the photographic material is<br />
guided by intuition, leading to novel, unusual flower arrangements.<br />

Florale Schwingungen<br />
Durch die Transformation fotografischer Flächen zu Raumerscheinungen<br />
verleiht die aus Südkorea stammende Künstlerin Mae Jeon dem Medium<br />
der Fotografie eine ganz eigene Dimension. Unter ihrer kompositorischen<br />
und technischen Meisterhand bilden plastische Blütenformen, deren<br />
Farbklänge sich in der Struktur des Hintergrundes wiederfinden, den<br />
Grundakkord der <strong>Kunst</strong>werke. Einzureihen sind sie in die Gattung der<br />
Blumenstillleben. Aufgrund ihrer plastischen Wirkung könnte man auch<br />
von surrealen Ikebana-Werken sprechen. Der kompositorische Umgang<br />
mit dem Motiv, den Farben und anderen Eigenschaften des Fotomaterials<br />
erfolgt intuitiv, sodass neuartige, ungewöhnliche Blumenarrangements<br />
entstehen.<br />
