Program Objectives: To train students in the development of imaginative, purposeful and<br />
skilled expression of theatre.<br />
History: Founded in 1968 in the heart of West Palm Beach, PBA is a private Christian university<br />
located adjacent to one of the nation's premier performing arts centers, world class ballet and<br />
opera, regional theatres and museums providing many internships and job opportunities. PBA<br />
offers a highly competitive BFA positioning our graduates for successful careers. Our more<br />
rounded BA degree allows students to double major. Come connect, commit, and create with<br />
us!<br />
Facilities, Classrooms, and Theatres: The Fern Street Theatre, a nearly 12,000 square foot,<br />
two story building on Fern Street includes a "Black Box" theatre, scene shop, costume shop and<br />
houses offices, classrooms and performance space.<br />
Scholarships and/or Assistantships: The PBA Theatre program awards scholarships to a<br />
select number of highly talented and promising students each year. These scholarships are<br />
available through a competitive process that includes an interview and audition with the Theatre<br />
faculty of PBA. Students who accept these scholarships must declare a major in the Theatre<br />
program during the period of the scholarship and maintain a 3.0 GPA.<br />
