• When we sin, we disobey God and fail to love Him and each
other, and we reject His love.
• God will always welcome us back and forgive our sins if we are
truly sorry for them.
• Jesus established the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation
so that we could receive God’s forgiveness.
• There are four parts to the Sacrament of Penance and
Reconciliation: contrition, confession, penance, and absolution.
This Week's Family Prayer
O my God, I am sorry for my sins. In choosing to sin, and failing
to do good, I have sinned against you and your Church. I firmly
intend, with the help of your Son, to make up for my sins, and to
love as I should. Amen.
