Judgment
Directions: Read or follow along as your teachers reads aloud
about the Particular and Last Judgments.

Everyone who lives will die. Death,
however, is not the end. We believe in a
life after death.
The Particular Judgment
Each of us will be judged by God
when we die. This judgment is
called the Particular Judgment.
God will judge how well we have
loved Him and others during our lives.
If we have loved God and others as we should, our souls
will enter Heaven. There, we will be with God. Some
souls may go to Purgatory before they enter Heaven.
There, they will be purified of the effects of sin.
If we have failed to love, our souls will be sent to Hell.
These souls have chosen to live without God.
