storytelling event. And there’s
a brand new tale for this year
– ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Christmas ball unlike any other.
On the night of Christmas Eve, all
guests are settling down to sleep
when a clatter arises and mischief
begins with the spirit of Krampus.
What to your wondering eyes will
appear? Dash away through the
house, meeting a host of charming
characters and that jolly old elf,
St Nick.
If you’re looking for a quieter way
to spark the festive spirit, how about
an afternoon tea? Savour seasonal
delights while you relax in the
opulently decorated Long Gallery
with views over the historic gardens.
This year, there will also be a special
afternoon tea served on Christmas
Eve, a great way for the grown-ups
to celebrate in style.
And it wouldn’t be Christmas
without a Boxing Day walk.
Wentworth is always popular with
walkers during the festive season
but why not stretch your legs in the
stunning grounds of Wentworth
Woodhouse? You can then warm
yourself up in the grand house
with a wander around the state
rooms while all the festive finery
remains. And if you’re not too
stuffed, a slice of cake and a hot
drink in the Butler’s Pantry Café will
be the perfect end to your
leisurely stroll.
