Pederson, M. R. (Pete)
Pete was born in Creston, BC on December 28, 1937. He joined the Navy in
November 1956 and served on eight ships in Special Duty Areas between 1957 and
1969. He attended Royal Roads Military College in 1970 and was then posted to
HMCS Provider from 1971 to 1976 and CFS Cold Lake from 1977 to 1980. Pete
taught in various training establishments from 1980 to 1984 before becoming a
partner in Nisku Medical Services, teaching and providing ambulance service and
security to Nisku Industrial Park. In 1988, he opened Pederson’s Essential Services
and Emergency Services in Nisku, providing industrial ambulances, training, and
first aid attendants to industrial sites. Between 1990 and 1999 when he retired, Pete
was a safety consultant for Esso, Shell, and Nova. He bought a farm in Christian
Valley but after he remarried, he moved to Okanagan Falls, BC. Pete has been a
Legion member for forty-three years and is now a member of Branch #227 in
Okanagan Falls. He now volunteers his time to Citizens on Patrol and with seniors.

Pearson, Tony
Tony was born in Melville, Saskatchewan on March 8, 1925. He enlisted in
the Army on October 15, 1943 and took basic training in Orillia, Ontario.
He served with the South Saskatchewan Regiment in World War Two and
Peacetime until he was discharged in Winnipeg on February 1, 1947. Tony
enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1949. He has been posted to
Camp Borden, Ontario, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany
while serving more than thirty-six years with the Army and the Royal
Canadian Air Force. Tony has been a member of Seaview Centennial Legion
Branch #257 for eighteen years.
Peregrym, Gwendolen L. (Gwen)
Gwen was born in Surrey, BC in 1962. She served in the Armed Forces
during Peacetime at CFB Penhold, CFB Esquimalt, CFB Cold Lake, and on
HMCS Annapolis on the high seas and in Haiti. She received the Canadian
Forces Decoration and the Special Service Medal (SSM) with Alert Bar
representing her service at Canadian Forces Station Alert, Nunavut. Gwen
has been a member of Legion Branch #55 in Port Alberni for two years.
