We have all become more cautious about forecasts due to the events of the last
few years. But we are optimistic - partly because 2022 was a very successful
year for us. After all, we showed an 18% increase in sales. This assures us that
there is an increasing need for current and valid data, especially in volatile
times. In 2023, we will therefore continue to invest in the area that ensures
transparency and stability in the market: real estate data.

Our data shows: in 2022, the number of registered properties decreased by about 11%.
Of course, if fewer are being bought or sold, property prices may fall as well in some
places. However, this is not yet reflected in the transaction data currently available.
How the development will continue depends on several economic (energy), political
and ecological factors. I think that this year, in addition to general market factors, we
will also have to deal with new regulations within the industry, such as the proposed
change in who covers the broker costs in a property transaction (das Bestellerprinzip).

I wouldn’t say the party is over,
but a wait-and-see attitude and
uncertainty are already apparent.
This is why it is so essential that
relevant market information
continues to be available. Because
only then can well-founded
business decisions be made. This
in turn creates security - even in
challenging times. If the economic
situation also stabilizes to some
extent again, nothing will stand in
the way of a pleasant and secure
mood, despite possible changes in
the general conditions.

I think that long-term developments
in particular, such as technological
progress, social trends and climate
change will have a strong impact on
the market. These are definitely not
new topics, but they are precisely
those that bring with them the
greatest potential for change.

We have now been on the market for more
than 15 years, have established IMMOunited
and have made a name for ourselves. That’s
a good starting point, of course. But we also
need to consolidate our market-leading
position consistently. That’s why we are
focusing more on research and innovation
this year and investing a substantial amount
in product development - both internally
and externally. In addition to extensive
innovations in our existing services, there
are also numerous other ideas, some of
which we are pursuing together with
universities. This is particularly important
to us because innovation secures the future.
