USA First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff

Dear First Lady Janet Holcomb,
I am an ambassador for the Drug Epidemic Memorial Wall. I lost my loving 3rd child,
my only son, Lance on Jan. 10, 2015, at the age of forever 24. His body was found
by Miami police in someone’s back yard. He was robbed of all belongings and had
died from Heroin toxicity and fentanyl poisoning. I, as his parent, wasn’t even
notified. I found out by a post on Facebook by a friend of his. To this day I mourn my
son Lance and I will every day until we meet again. His passing has left me in a
constant depression I will never overcome. My son graduated from High School with
honors and with college credits. His future was a bright one.
His sisters Cynthia Rose and Jennifer Marie will forever miss their little brother. He
was their favorite cheerleader and they loved having a little brother who looked up
to them and encouraged them in everything they did, as they encouraged him as
well.
I know your husband, Governor Holcomb’s interest in the Next Level Recovery
program has amplified with federal support and funding. In overdoses nearly twothirds
of those deaths involved fentanyl or other synthetic opioids, now the leading
cause of death in Americans aged 18 to 45.
Would you assist us in finding a permanent location for a Drug Epidemic Memorial
Wall within our Capitol? We have created two memorial Walls. One with photos and
one with names. I am including Lance’s frame, below.
These digital walls and albums update automatically. We would also like the photos
displayed in hard copy format. The wall of names can be projected on a wall so
families can touch their loved one's name. We would like our loved ones to be
treated like victims. They were all victims of Purdue Pharma (an American cartel)
and many others. Now, they are victims of the Chinese criminal networks and the
Mexican Cartels. We are using the word “drugism” for the prejudice toward drug
users.
A group of our Indiana moms would love to meet with you and work together to
prevent this from happening ever again.
