Dear Mrs. McMaster,
My name is Charles Graham, and I am writing to you on behalf of my son Eldon
Graham, a victim of fentanyl poisoning on April 15, 2021.
I ask that you consider supporting an effort under way to erect a memorial in the
capitol building or on the grounds to pay tribute and bring attention to the thousands of
deaths attributed to this national tragedy that has taken the precious lives of so many
people here in the state of South Carolina.
My son Eldon was only 21 years old at the time he passed. I have included a picture of
Eldon. Eldon was a good boy, an Eagle Scout, Clemson University student, beloved
son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend.
Words cannot express the loss we all feel. I hope that through our continued efforts we
will be able to make a difference.
