to Taiwan’s high humidity and high temperature climate. Office and multimedia room mainly configure on the second floor. Continue to the third floor where a landscape restaurant is located. Afterwards the fourth floor is an outdoor terrace for people to rest and enjoy the surrounding environment. Finally moving up to the fifth floor, this is a timber-structure exhibition area. In order to make the surrounding environment as a part of the exhibition, the aisles are arranged on both sides, facilitated with curtain walls and observation area where the nature, the reservoir, the settlement and the heritage come into view. The panorama of the ruins eventually appears when you finally walk down the stairs to the exterior. Through spatial intimation by various routes and openings, visiting Hushan Reservoir Archaeological Exhibition Hall becomes am approach to correspond and dialogue with the surrounding environment. The building uses double-layered façade and roof to control the indoor temperature, humidity, lighting and ventilation effectively, in an attempt to create a small and exquisite local ecological museum. 88
