In the early 1980s, Neil Mangia embarked on a
career shift, transitioning from working on Classic and
Exotic Cars since the 1970s to establishing his own
business. Dissatisfied with the scarcity of specialized
supplies in the market, Neil founded Newco Products
in 1985 after recognizing the unmet needs within the
automotive industry.
With a decade of experience servicing prestigious
brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini, Neil expanded
beyond catering solely to Classic Cars. Venturing into
outside sales, he collaborated with Garages, Body Shops,
Dealerships, and more, identifying and fulfilling their
business requirements. Newco Products diversified
its offerings to include German Hoses, Swedish and
German Hose Clamps, and Body Clips, presenting a
comprehensive catalog showcased in a distinctive black
case.
The advent of the internet in 1997 prompted Neil to
embrace technology, leading to the establishment of www.
newcoproducts.com. The online platform, complemented
by a retail-style store, marked a significant leap in
Newco’s accessibility and reach. As the product line
expanded, so did the need for a warehouse, driven by the
growing demand for hard-to-find inventory.
Recognizing the evolving landscape, Neil delved into
the intricacies of Asian cars, understanding the nuances
between Metric DIN and JIS fasteners. Newco Products,
with its commitment to providing specialized items, began
importing JIS fasteners, catering to the unique needs
of Asian car mechanics. The company’s dedication to
maintaining a substantial inventory of elusive items set it
apart from larger warehouse box stores.

The journey continued with Newco’s foray into diverse
sectors, from Wind Turbines and Industrial Supply to
becoming an OEM Supplier and serving the needs of
Classic Car enthusiasts. The company’s adaptability and
commitment to excellence manifested in the introduction
of M5 JIS Flange Bolts and various sizes of M6 and M8,
JISB 1189, addressing another gap in the market.
