SFA WRAPS UP ITS 49th YEAR By Becky Buddenbohn
The Southwestern Fastener Association is happy
to report many successes of our 49th year as we
look forward to celebrating 50 years supporting and
encouraging Fastener connections in our region!
Some of the activities enjoyed this year include
a Spring Clay Shoot in the DFW area, Distribution
Appreciation dinner during a violent spring storm, a fun
and highly competitive Houston Astros/Texas Rangers
outing, a Houston Conference as well as a very heated
(excuse the pun!) golf tournament in the Houston
summer!
We are proud to provide a college scholarship to
William M Allen of Mississippi State University! We hope
to expand our scholarship program in the coming year to
include more worthy recipients.
ASSOCIATION ARTICLE
Our association is also proud to support Sleep in
Heavenly Peace, donating to fellow association’s bed
build and planning to host a Sleep in Heavenly Peace
Bed Build of our own in 2024 in DFW! We support the
mission that “No kid sleeps on the floor in my town!”

2023 comes to a close with SFA hosting their
annual DFW Canned Food Drive, this year coupled
with Axe Throwing, Tacos and Happy Hour fun and the
Houston area Toy Drive where we, once again, try to
make an impact in our community while enjoying time
with our Fastener friends. Please stay tuned to see what
opportunities lie ahead as we begin our 50th year!
