Renowned for its innovative craft beers, Felons
Brewing Co. has unveiled Sirens’ Haze 2.0 – a limited
release Hazy IPA brewed exclusively by a talented
team of female brewers in celebration of International
Women’s Day.
Crafted by women, for women, this creation promises
an explosion of mandarin and pineapple aromas with
a full tropical fruit flavour and the inclusion of the 6th
annual hop blend by Pink Boots Society – a company
aiming to assist, inspire and encourage women and
non-binary people in the alcoholic beverage industry to
advance their careers.
Sirens’ Haze 2.0 is an evolution of Felons’ 2023
Belgian Amber Ale, blending the unique characteristics
of Belgian yeast flavours with bubble gum, banana
and pear. Balanced against a solid malt backbone and
European hops, this easy-drinking beer is a delightful
treat for all craft beer enthusiasts.
To mark the special occasion, Felons was also
proud to announce that 100% of the proceeds from
Sirens’ Haze 2.0 will be donated to Women’s Legal
Service Queensland (WLSQ) in order to continue
their commitment to supporting women affected by
domestic violence and ensuring that crucial services
continue to reach those who need them most.
Celebrating its 40th year of operation in 2024,
WLSQ offers life-changing support through social
support work, domestic violence units, health justice
partnerships and financial abuse prevention.
It is a for-purpose organisation dedicated to providing
free, accessible legal assistance and vital services
to women and their children impacted by domestic
violence, family violence and sexual assault.
In 2023, 91% of clients assisted by WLSQ experienced
some form of domestic or family violence, with more
than 14,000 women, 75% of whom have children in
their care, receiving support.
As Queensland’s primary specialised community legal
centre, WLSQ aids clients across the state, with 67%
residing outside the Brisbane metro area.
To go alongside its launch of its new brew and further
inspire inclusion, Felons also hosted a free, all-female
music line up on International Women’s Day at Barrel
Hall, staring HANNI, Gregory and Squidgenini.
