type, mostly Greek, woodcut printer’s device to title and verso
of final f., 2 three quarter-page woodcut illustrations depicting
Leander crossing the Hellespont to spend the night with Hero and
Hero casting herself from her tower when seeing her lover dead on
the beach at dawn, capital spaces with guide-letters, contemporary
Greek marginalia to head of a8, b8 lower corner with some fraying,
occasional spotting, unusual patterned paste-paper endpapers, 18th
century mottled sheep, richly gilt spine in compartments and with a
red morocco label, small repair to head of spine, rubbed, [Adams
M1991; Ahmanson-Murphy 159; Renouard 81:8; EDIT 16 CNCE
