woodcut map of ‘Angliae Heptarchia’, woodcut initials and headpieces,
lacking folding map (supplied in good facsimile), title laid down,
some water-staining, heavier at start, contemporary mottled calf, richly
gilt spine in compartments and with later red leather label, chip at head
of spine, upper joint starting at foot, but holding firm, slightly rubbed,
[STC 15176], small 4to, Edm. Bollifant, 1596. £500 - £700
