woodcut map of ‘Angliae Heptarchia’, woodcut initials and headpieces,<br />

lacking folding map (supplied in good facsimile), title laid down,<br />

some water-staining, heavier at start, contemporary mottled calf, richly<br />

gilt spine in compartments and with later red leather label, chip at head<br />

of spine, upper joint starting at foot, but holding firm, slightly rubbed,<br />

[STC 15176], small 4to, Edm. Bollifant, 1596. £500 - £700<br />
