16, original pictorial wrappers by John Leech, parts 3, 4, 5, 12<br />

and 16 sympathetically rebacked or with a small repair to spine<br />

or wrapper, some light soiling and marking, rubbed, preserved<br />

in a 20th century cloth chemise and slip-case, 8vo, [1846]-1848.<br />

interspersed with cut-out floral, fruit and bird ornament, mostly<br />

original watercolours, including numerous floral cartouches<br />

containing manuscript verses and riddles, these and some captions<br />

in English, original watercolours, 18th and early 19th century<br />

engravings, stipple-engravings, mezzotints and lithographs, many<br />

printed in colours or with original hand-colouring, many as cutouts<br />

but some trimmed to the entire image, v.s., mounted on both<br />

sides of c.75 album leaves, some with just a single large image, each<br />

leaf c.415 x 500mm., the Texier watercolours each c.220 x 300mm.,<br />

a few smaller leaves loosely inserted, occasional surface dirt, full<br />

diced calf, worn, gilt-lettered label on upper board of Madame de<br />

Bonanny, upper joint broken, oblong folio, [early 19th century].<br />
