CARTA VIEJA LIMITED RELEASE
RESERVA CHARDONNAY 2009
Loncomilla Valley
TASTING NOTE: The cooler-climate valley
along the Loncomilla River is ideal for
Chardonnay. This creamy Chard is chockfull
of tropical fruit, citrus, toasty vanilla
and a dose of sweet oak. Buttery, with
crisp, lip-smacking acidity. An exceptional
value. Enjoy with some grilled tuna or
fried chicken. (VINTAGES panel,
SELECTION CHARDONNAY 2009
Casablanca Valley
Our Quality Assurance Laboratory has
determined this wine contains 16 mg/L of
free sulphur.
TASTING NOTE: Light, greenish yellow.
Reticent nose suggests yellow fruits,
melon and honey. Dense, sappy and
attractively sweet, with talc and toast
notes complementing flavors of cantaloupe,
nectarine and tangerine. Shows good
energy and finishes with sappy, intensely
fruity persistence. Score: 88
VIÑA CASABLANCA EL BOSQUE
BARREL FERMENTED CHARDONNAY
2008
Casablanca Valley, Winemaker’s Choice
Chile’s Casablanca Valley has quickly
developed a well-earned reputation for
producing tremendous cool-climate
wines. This one is a fine example. It combines
southern-Burgundy-esque
Chardonnay freshness and minerality with
the roundness of a warm-climate version.
Fairly robust with a lengthy, fruit-driven
finish. Try it with stir-fried shrimp and
peas with pesto, atop a heap of pasta.
