Amalfi Coast – Minori<br />
Visiting Sorrento, Capri & Pompeii<br />
DAY 1: Your Door to Door service will<br />
transfer you to the airport for your flight<br />
to Naples. On arrival a local coach will<br />
take us to our hotel with time to settle in<br />
before dinner.<br />
DAY 2: Following a leisurely breakfast we<br />
have included a short guided walking tour<br />
of Minori, a small pleasant seaside town<br />
founded by ancient Roman aristocrats<br />
who chose Minori for its beauty and mild<br />
climate. On our walk we will see many of<br />
the historic sites, the Basilica of Santa<br />
Trofimena, the churches of St Lucia, San<br />
Gennaro and San Michele as well as good<br />
examples of southern Italian architecture.<br />
The afternoon is free to return to the<br />
hotel, relax and enjoy the facilities. Or maybe explore Minori a little more.<br />
DAY 3: We have included a half day guided excursion to nearby Ravello situated up<br />
in the mountains overlooking the coast from Minori to Amalfi. The town boasts<br />
many historic sites including the church of San Pantaleone built in the 11th century,<br />
The Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, two sites renowned for their splendour & their<br />
decorations. Both villas have amazingly beautiful gardens. From Villa Cimbrone you<br />
can admire one of the best panoramic views of Italy on the entire Amalfi coast.<br />
DAY 4: Today we take a full day guided tour to Pompeii, the famous Roman city<br />
buried in volcanic ash in AD79. Here you can marvel at the excavated streets,<br />
amphitheatre, villa remains and bath house. Around every corner another<br />
magnificent sight awaits you on your visit to this infamous city.<br />
DAY 5: Today we cruise from Minori along the Amalfi Coast to Amalfi where you will<br />
have free time to explore this town. The town is surrounded by dramatic cliffs and<br />
sensational coastal scenery. There are many sites to see, including the Cathedral of<br />
St Andrew or maybe a visit to the museum of handmade paper, a skill acquired by<br />
the Amalfitans from the Arabs. Time for lunch before we continue our excursion to<br />
Sorrento the capital of the Amalfi coast. Here you can explore and enjoy this<br />
delightful town with its many shops, boutiques and stunning views of the Bay of<br />
Naples and Vesuvius.<br />
DAY 6: Today is a free day to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities or to maybe do a<br />
little shopping or further sight seeing.<br />
DAY 7: Today we take a ferry across to the Island of Capri, a Mediterranean island<br />

The Amalfi Coast where rugged villages cling to the sheer rock facing the sea; this is indeed a spectacular<br />
coastline. With its mixture of history & nature, there is a lot to discover. The cathedral of Amalfi, the villas in<br />
Ravello and the many churches built during the period of the republic of Amalfi.<br />
renowned for its magical beauty with a mix of history, nature & culture. A legend<br />
that sees no comparison to anywhere in the world. We have included transport,<br />
entrance & a guide to Anacapri.<br />
DAY 8: Sadly we wave goodbye to the Amalfi Coast. Our local coach transfers us to<br />
the airport for our return flight to the UK and your Door to Door service.<br />
