Welcome to our 2013/14 programme of Air and Cruise Escorted Holidays of Distinction. These are
brought to you by CITO – the Consortium of Independent Tour Operators, of which we are proud
to be a member.
Once again, we offer an exciting mix of tours to many parts of Europe and further afield to worldwide
destinations. We will take you to Mediterranean islands, historical India, the majestic Alps, New Zealand, the
Rocky Mountains, Iceland and other places besides.
All our holidays include our Door to Door service from your home and back again, good quality hotels, all
breakfasts, most dinners and plenty of excursions with admissions, boat trips and train rides.
European river cruises with out partners CroisiEurope have proved to be very popular with our clients and so we
have more of these cruises for you in 2013 including new destinations – Venice, the Bordeaux wine region and
Andalucia.
We are pleased to introduce Fred Olsen Cruises to our programme this year. This is classic British ocean cruising on
ships which are large enough to offer a full range of facilities but small enough to maintain an intimate and
friendly atmosphere. Our cruises will take you to the Norwegian Fjords, Scottish Islands, Baltic Capitals and also to
the Canary and Cape Verde Islands.
For those wishing to travel further afield we have air holidays to Australia, India,
New Zealand, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and New England.
European destinations include Lake Maggiore, the Amalfi Coast, Cyprus, Iceland,
the Swiss Alps, Malta and Ireland.
So, there is something for everyone. We hope you will find something to suit you and look
forward to providing you with a memorable holiday in 2013 or early 2014.
LOOK WHAT WE INCLUDE:
At CITO we pride ourselves in being completely
transparent with no hidden costs and on most
of our holidays we include the transfers, coach
hire, guides, excursions & admissions.
Door to Door Service.
We will collect you from your home and take you
directly to the airport or port on your outward
journey and bring you home again at the end.
Quality Hotels
All our hotels are at least the equivalent of a UK 3*
rating (often higher). We include all breakfasts, most
dinners and lunches where stated within the
itinerary. WE NEVER BOOK ROOM ONLY on our tours!
HOW TO BOOK
You can book by contacting our usual Travel Centre telephone number.
Payment can be made by Cheque, Cash or Debit/Card. There will be no
fee for debit cards but credit cards may incur a charge (please ask for
details). If you would like to check availability or to discuss your booking
requirement for any holiday we are here to help. All Air Tours require a
minimum deposit of £100 per person or 10% of the holiday whichever is
the greatest. A deposit of 20% is required on all the Sea Cruises.
Tour Managers
Every holiday (apart from the Fred Olsen Cruises) will be escorted
by a CITO Tour Manager, either travelling with you from the UK or
for the Tour Managers residing abroad meeting you at the
destination airport. Whatever airport you depart from there will
be Airport Assistance Service to help you to ensure your check
in/baggage drop go as smoothly as possible. We want you to
enjoy all aspects of your holiday.
Financial Protection
The Holiday Packages inclusive of flights offered within this brochure are
protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL Licence number is
6218.We have appropriate financial protection in place to fully safeguard your
money. Full details are available on request.
When you buy an ATOL protected Package Holiday you will receive an ATOL Certificate.
This lists the details of the services that are financially protected, where you can
get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong.
You must take this Certificate with you when you travel.
FLIGHTS
All long haul flights are on scheduled airlines with onboard refreshments, meals &
in-flight entertainment. On the European flights we use full service airlines where
possible but in many cases the only flights for the dates and times we need are
with low budget airlines. In these cases we include check in fees, priority boarding
or seat reservations (where available) & one piece of hold baggage per person. If
the Tour Manager is not departing with you we will provide Airport Assistance.
Flights on long distance holidays are usually from London Heathrow.
On European holidays we aim to offer flights from both one Southern airport
(London area) and one Northern Airport (usually Manchester).
