Cruise The River Rhone<br />
Lyon, Avignon, Arles, Martigues, Viviers & The Roman City of Vienne<br />
DAY 1: Your Door to Door service will transfer you to the Tour <strong>Coach</strong> and we journey<br />
to Dover for our short sea crossing to Calais. We continue to the Auxerre region for<br />
our overnight dinner bed and breakfast.<br />
DAY 2: Following breakfast we travel south to Lyon to board our cruise ship before<br />
we set sail south towards Avignon. Plenty of time to settle in to your cabin before<br />
we enjoy a welcome drink & presentation by the crew. Dinner on board followed by<br />
an evening of entertainment. We continue our cruise through the night.<br />
DAY 3: Breakfast on board whilst we continue our cruise south, relax and enjoy the<br />
breathtaking views from the comfort of your cruise ship. We have lunch onboard<br />
arriving in Avignon mid afternoon. Plenty of free time for you to explore Avignon, the<br />
Papal City, a veritable citadel overlooking the bridge, set high in a rocky outcrop and<br />
surrounded by the city walls. The Palace dates back to the 14th century and was the<br />
formal residence of the soverign pontiffs. Returning to the ship for a Gala Evening<br />
Dinner and an evening of entertainment. We cruise during the evening and moor in<br />
Arles for the night.<br />
DAY 4: After breakfast we set off for our included excursion to the Carmargue, a<br />
huge nature reserve where the sea and marshland are inhabitated by an amazing<br />
array of water fowl and birds. Free time in Saintes Maries de la Mar before returning<br />
on board and continuing our cruise. Lunch is served while we gently cruise to<br />
Martigues arriving late afternoon. Free time to explore before setting sail again for<br />
our overnight sailing back to Avignon. Dinner is taken whilst we cruise.<br />
DAY 5: Arriving in Avignon we have an included excursion to les Baux de Provence,<br />
one of the prettiest villages in France. Returning to the ship for lunch we set sail<br />
again for Roquemaure from where we set off for our excursion to the Ardeche<br />
Gorge. We rejoin the ship at Saint Etienne des Sorts and set sail for Viviers. Dinner<br />
onboard arriving in Viviers early evening & mooring here overnight.<br />
DAY 6: An early start this morning as we set sail for La Voulte enjoying breakfast &<br />
lunch while we cruise. This afternoon we have included an excursion to the Vercors<br />
calling at Loriol where we visit a cellar to sample the tastes of the famous Clairette<br />
de Die sparkling wine. Continuing, we will drive along the Col du Rossett mountain<br />
road from where you will marvel at the spectacular views over the Vercors Plateau,<br />
passing Vassieux en Vercors, La Chapelle en Vercors & Pont en Royans. We head for<br />
Tain l’Hermitage and rejoin our ship in time for our Gala Dinner and an evening of<br />
entertainment. During the night we will continue our cruise towards Vienne.<br />
DAY 7: We will spend the morning cruising arriving in the Roman City of Vienne in<br />
time for our included guided visit. The city once a Roman provincial capital boasts<br />
numerous remains of Roman constructions & historical monuments. We return to<br />

We offer you the chance to explore the River Rhone visiting the towns along the way. You will be amazed<br />
at the breathtaking views from our vantage point on the River Rhone. Relax and watch the vistas<br />
unfolding on our journey, enjoy the wonderful French cuisine onboard our floating hotel, relaxing in the<br />
sunshine as we pass by the many vineyards & picturesque villages.<br />

take our coach to our overnight hotel at Reims for dinner bed and breakfast.<br />
DAY 8: Following breakfast we continue our homeward journey north, arriving in<br />
Calais for our short sea crossing to Dover and your Door to Door service home.<br />
