Dordogne and Gironde rivers.<br />
Bordeaux the renowned land of plenty – enjoy a relaxing cruise while we explore the rich & diverse region,<br />
travelling down the two great rivers and the Gironde Estuary – You will discover a complex and colourful<br />
mosaic of scenery, textures & moods.<br />
DAY 1: Your Door to Door service will take you to join with the tour coach. We<br />
continue to Dover for our short sea crossing to Calais & onwards for our overnight<br />
dinner bed & breakfast in the Paris region.<br />
DAY 2: Following breakfast we continue our journey southwards to embark our ship<br />
in Bordeaux. Time to settle into your cabin before a presentation by the crew, a<br />
welcome drink and dinner.<br />
DAY 3: We sail down the River Garonne joining the River Gironde passing Cazeau<br />
Island and Patiras Island before arriving in Pauillac in time for lunch. Following lunch we<br />
will take the coach to visit the vineyards in the Haut-Medoc. We return to the ship<br />
in time for dinner and this evening’s entertainment. We moor over night in Pauillac.<br />
DAY 4: We set sail early this morning cruising along the Gironde arriving in Blaye<br />
after lunch. This afternoon we have included an excursion along the Corniche or cliff<br />
route. The narrow & picturesque road snakes along the banks of the River Dordogne<br />
to the Gironde Estuary. We will visit the village of Bourg before returning to Blaye.<br />
We return in time for dinner and an evening of dancing. We moor tonight in Blaye.<br />
DAY 5: We set sail early this morning enjoying breakfast as we cruise and join the<br />
River Dordogne arriving in Libourne early afternoon. After lunch we have included a<br />
guided excursion to Saint Emillion. We will then visit a Troglodyte settlement, the<br />
cave of St Emillion and a wine tasting concludes our visit. Return for dinner and an<br />
evenings entertainment provided by the members of the crew. Mooring in Libourne<br />
for the night.<br />
DAY 6: We cruise early towards Cadillac, sailing back downstream along the Gironde<br />
arriving after lunch. This afternoon we have included a guided visit to the chateau at<br />
Roquetaillade & Cadillac. We return in time for dinner & a relaxing evening on board.<br />
DAY 7: We enjoy breakfast & lunch onboard whilst we sail back to Bordeaux arriving<br />
early afternoon, where we have arranged a guided tour of the historic city, a chance<br />
to see the many monuments, attractions & the Old City of Bordeaux . We return to<br />
the ship in time for our Gala Dinner and this evening’s entertainment.<br />
DAY 8: We leave our ship after breakfast and enjoy a day touring the beautiful<br />
Dordogne Valley by coach to Sarlat, time here for lunch before we continue up the<br />
valley as far as Souillac and then head north to Brive la Gaillarde for overnight<br />
dinner bed and breakfast.<br />
DAY 9: Our journey continues as far as the medieval city of Bourges – once the<br />
capital of France. We stop for lunch before continuing north to the Paris region for<br />
our overnight stop with dinner, bed and breakfast.<br />
DAY 10: After breakfast we travel back to Calais for the ferry to Dover and then back<br />
home with the benefit of our Door to Door service.<br />
