The following rules are used in all tournaments officially sanctioned by Iron Crown. Players are expected to be familiar with these rules when playing in such games. For more about each rule, see the Rules Checklist on pages 160– 161. 167
Convention Games While most convention games will use the rules listed in the sidebar on the previous page, some referees like to use their own set of rules, including things like asteroids and drift. This is fine, as long as everyone knows which rules are being played with before the game begins. (For the uninitiated, a referee is a person that runs a game at a convention. Usually, this person doesn’t actually play in the game so that he or she can make impartial rulings in any situation that might require one. Mostly, referees are just there to keep things moving along.) Keep an eye peeled at your local conventions for Silent Death games. And if you’d like to referee a Silent Death game or tournament at a convention or local game store, contact ICE at the address in the front of this book for support.
