OPeN tIMes Members are reminded that the badminton courts are available for open booking on Wednesdays from 8 pm onwards. This is the only weekday time that courts are not booked for league and ladder play. baDMINtON Club ChaMPIONshIPs Members are reminded that this year's Singles and Mixed Doubles Club Championships will run from February 2 - 5. Play will begin at 6 pm each evening, with an A/B/C and D format (guaranteeing each participant 3 matches). This event welcomes players of all levels. As a follow up, the Benny Hill and Doubles Club Championships will take place from March 2 - 5, following the same format. Cost for the event is $45 per player, regardless of the number of events entered. Sign up on “Game Time”. Easter Brunch 9:30 am - 2:30 pm $25.95/Adults $24.95/Seniors $16.95/Youth Adult (11 - 15) $1.50 per year of age for children 3 - 10 years Easter Dinner 5 - 8 pm $26.95/Adults $25.95/Seniors $16.95/Youth Adult (11 - 15) $1.50 per year of age for children 3 - 10 years Masters returNs tO CwC The Club will host a Seniors and Masters event from February 20 - 22. This tournament, which begins at age 30 and advances in 10 year increments, will begin play Friday at 5 pm with social functions running both Friday and Saturday evening. Players may register through Badminton Alberta by going to their website at www.badmintonalberta.ca and following the prompts. Cost of the event is $75 per player and participants are limited to three events. ClOutIer takes 2 at latest alberta serIes Congratulations to Milaine Cloutier and Ingrid Bauer for winning the ladies doubles event at the Alberta Series, played last month at Mount Royal College. After securing her doubles win, Cloutier then proceeded to win the mixed doubles event with Jon Vandervet from Edmonton. seNIOrs aND Masters strIke GOlD at GleNCOe Congratulations to the following members for their winning performances at last month’s Glencoe Seniors and Masters event.
