3.4 Decisions of confiscation of assets in 2006<br />

Please note that confiscation of assets previously seized is, as a rule, ordered<br />

by the court at moment of the offender’s conviction. Confiscation means a<br />

penalty or a measure, ordered by a court following proceedings in relation to a<br />

criminal offence, resulting in the final deprivation of property.<br />

The ‘Total for persons convicted’ should refer to the number of people convicted<br />

according to Table 3.1.1 in 2006.<br />

If data for 2006 are not yet available, please give data for the latest available<br />

year <strong>and</strong> indicate the year of reference in the table.
