The <strong>Enterprise</strong> <strong>Virtual</strong> <strong>Array</strong> is a product that consists of one or more storage<br />
systems. Each storage system consists of a pair of HSV controllers and the disk<br />
drives they manage. A storage system within the <strong>Enterprise</strong> <strong>Virtual</strong> <strong>Array</strong> can be<br />
formally referred to as an <strong>Enterprise</strong> storage system, or generically referred to<br />
as the storage system.<br />
A unit that holds controller enclosures, disk drive enclosures, power distribution<br />
supplies, and enclosure address buses that, combined, comprise an <strong>Enterprise</strong><br />
storage system solution. Also called the <strong>Enterprise</strong> storage system rack.<br />

Evt No. Event Number. A sequential number assigned to each Software Code<br />
Identification (SWCID) event. It is a decimal number in the range 0-255.<br />

1,152,921,504,606,846,976 bytes. One exabyte is equivalent to 1,024<br />
petabytes.<br />
fabric A Fibre Channel fabric or two or more interconnected Fibre Channels allowing<br />

failover The process that takes place when one controller assumes the workload of a<br />
failed companion controller. Failover continues until the failed controller is<br />
